Cause of acne are usually hormonal changes in the body, which result in an increased production of sebum. Essential oils will help to clear the infection, reduce the amount of serum produced, promote healing, and reduce inflammation. They also work on emotional level, helping reduce anxiety and stress that might be causing/deepening the problem.

Essential oils for acne: Bergamot, Cajeput, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Juniper berry, Neroli, Niaouli, Palmarosa, Petitgrain, Rosemary, Rose, Sandalwood, Tea tree, Grapefruit, Lemongrass, and Cedarwood.

A variety of essential oils may be used to help this condition, and you might need to try a number of different oils until you find the best one for you.

Carrier oils for acne: Jojoba, Rosehip, Hazelnut, Carrot and Calendula infused oils.

Tea tree essentials oil is my first aid when it comes to acne problems. It cuts through the extra sebum and dead skin cells, and unblocks the pores. Its antibacterial properties also kill off the acne causing bacteria, and prevent further outbreaks. Studies have shown its benefits in treating acne. Lavender is just another great oil that I would give to anyone having trouble with spots. Both oils can be use neat on the skin. Apply it to the affected area at night time after you wash your face.

Acne balm

Ingredients:  *Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium var. amara), *True lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Juniper berry (Juniperus communis), Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens), Sandalwood amyris (Amyris balsamifera), Rosehip oil (Rosa rubiginosa), Apricot Kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca), *Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), *Beeswax, Vitamin E

♥ Petitgrain It had a tonic effect on the skin and is helpful for acaromatherapy - remedy for acnene, skin blemishes and helps to reduce overactive  sebaceous glands. Petitgrain oil has stabilising effect on the nervous system. It is uplifting and refreshing.

♥ Vitamin E Can help regulate the production of skin proteins such as collagen and elastin. It is also important for maintaining skin health since it neutralizes free radicals that can damage follicles and increase keratin formation. It is easily absorbed into the skin. Aromatherapy Acne Remedies

For Her

  • 25 ml Jojoba oil and 5 ml Rosehip carrier oil
  • 3 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops Grapefruit* essential oil
  • 3 drop Geranium  essential oil
  • 3 drops Cedarwood essential oil

Adding a drop of Rose essential oil will make you feel extraordinary.

For Him

  • 25 ml of Jojoba oil and 5 ml of Calendula carrier oil
  • 3 drops Lavender essentials oil
  • 3 drops Lemon* essential oil
  • 3 drop Juniper berry essential oil
  • 3 drops Cedarwood essentials oil

Pour the selected carrier oil into a very clean bottle (amber glass is best) and then add the essential oils and tightly close the bottle.

*Safety:Avoid skin exposure to the sun for at least 48hours as these essential oils are phototoxic.

Citrus facial steam (inhalation)
Fresh lemon cleanse, unblock pores and firms the skin, and essential oils accelerates the process of aromatherapy - remedy for acneregeneration.

  • sliced organic lemon
  • 2 drops Organic Lemon* essential oil
  • 1 drop Organic Lemongrass essential oil
  • 2 drops Sandalwood essential oil

1. Fill a bowl of boiling water, add the lemon and essential oils.
2. Cover your head and shoulders with towel, lean over at a distance of 10 cm from the bowl. The inhalation time should last between 5-10 minutes.

Apply healing cream according to your skin needs.

Healing green mask

Cleanse your skin, with this soothing and calming mask. Green clay absorbs excess fat, tea tree essential oil has antibacterial therapeutic properties and parsley brightens the skin. Oatmeal softens it.

1 tablespoon of green clay powder
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon of oat flour
3 drops of tea tree essential oil
still or floral water

Wash and steam your face to ensure that your pores are open, for optimal results. Once your pores are steamed open, apply the mask on your most troublesome areas. Rinse it off completely with warm water after 10 minutes.

Floral toner Choose a floral water according to your  needs to cleanse, soothe, calm and tone your skin in the morning and evening. Simply apply it to cotton pads and gently wipe on face until all signs of dirt is removed.

Nutrition

Zinc can help in the fight against acne, because it affects the body’s hormonal balance and accelerates the healing of skin damage. Research shows people with acne have lower levels of zinc than people with clear skin.

Vitamin A and E are lipid soluble antioxidants that are necessary for our health. Deficiency in these vitamins can cause serious diseases. Administration of vitamin A and E to patients with acne was shown to improve their acne condition.

Vitamin B6 By regulating levels of hormones implicated in the development of acne lesions, vitamin B6 helps to control outbreaks. It is especially useful for acne triggered by menstrual cycles or menopause.

A low-glycemic-load diet improves symptoms in acne vulgaris.

Herbalism

Liver-cleansing herbs such as Yellowdock and Burdock – powerful tissue cleanser, Dandelion root – gentle laxative, taking pressure away from the skin as an organ of elimination, Boldo, Artichoke leaf, Red Clover – another excellent blood and tissue cleanser, can be a big boost for acne sufferers, and they work well together with zinc.aromatherapy - remedy for acne

Herbal infusion

25g (1oz) dried herb or 50g (2oz) fresh herb to 500ml(2 cups) boiling water. an infusion is made by pouring boiling water over the herb, to extract the properties. Drink one teacup 3 times a day. Store it in the fridge no longer than 3 days. The infusion can also be use externally to carefully bathe inflamed spots.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine liver is a seat of anger, indicative of the stored up anger, resentment and frustration you are feeling inside. Aromatherapy an either pacify anger or relieve the tention. Bergamot, Chamomile, Everlasting, Grapefruit, Lavender, Orange, Rose Spikenard and Yarrow essential oils can be very helpful.
